Scabertopin

Description:
Scabertopin is a compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. It is a sesquiterpene lactone that inhibits the activity of the polyglutamine repeat protein, huntingtin. This inhibition prevents the production of reactive oxygen species and inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Scabertopin may also be used as a drug target for cancer treatment. The anticancer activity of scabertopin may be due to its ability to inhibit cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting cell growth and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells.
